The research team applied both quantitative and qualitative methods to uncover the results. In this document, we share findings and summarize what may help immigrants feel more at home in Anchorage.TABLE OF CONTENTS - 1 - EXECUTIVE SUMMARY - 2 - PREFACE - 5 - ABOUT THE STUDY - 7 - Survey Participants - 7 - Focus Group Participants - 9 - FINDINGS - 10 - Integration in Anchorage, Alaska - 11 - Language Access in Anchorage, Alaska - 14 - Education in Anchorage, Alaska - 16 - Work in Anchorage, Alaska - 23 - Community Experiences in Anchorage, Alaska - 30 - Social Networks in Anchorage, Alaska - 32 - Law Enforcement in Anchorage, Alaska - 37 - Health Care in Anchorage, Alaska - 40 - Housing in Anchorage, Alaska - 45 - The Impact of COVID-19 in Anchorage, Alaska - 47 - Experiences of Exclusion in Anchorage, Alaska - 49 - Developing a Sense of Home in Anchorage, Alaska - 53 - RECOMMENDATIONS - 57 -en-USimmigrationresettlementintegrationinclusionwelcomingsense of communityAnchorage, AKUntapped Talent: Immigrant Integration and Inclusion in Anchorage, AlaskaReport
