Intimate Partner Violence and Sexual Violence in the City and Borough of Juneau: Key Results from the 2011 Alaska Victimization Survey

Abstract
This document is a two-page summary of the key results from the 2011 Alaska Victimization Survey for the City and Borough of Juneau, which was conducted from April to June 2011, with results released on October 17, 2011 in Juneau. Findings include: * Over 50% of adult women in the City and Borough of Juneau have experienced intimate partner violence, sexual violence or both, in their lifetime; * Nearly 15% have experienced intimate partner violence, sexual violence or both, in the past year; * 4 out of every 10 adult women in the City and Borough of Juneau have experienced sexual violence in their lifetime; and * 5 out of every 10 have experienced intimate partner violence in their lifetime.
