Blogging at a Small Academic Library

Weblog / English Blog / Current Use

Current Use

The blog was created as a means of communication between the liaison and English Department. The blog is being used as a web page–a place where information can be posted quickly and often. The liaison is using the blog as a way to harvest information about literary topics and present it in one spot. Hopefully the blog will serve as a link between the English Department, the academic library, and literary resources.
English 111 and 213 students use the resource page. When “Resources for English 111 Classes” is presented there is a sigh of relief from the students–finally, one place to go to find resources! They appreciate a place that will assist them in maneuvering from resource topic, to subject database, to library catalog, to our electronic journals list.
